Remember me. The story behind the story (part 3)

The legend of a horse race.

Fragile ice, that's the title of one of my favorite chapters. Why? Because it introduces into my story one of the things I like most in life: the relationship with animals.
Yes, I am one of those people who love animals, I consider them "good souls" who enrich our existence in a unique and irreplaceable way and in my stories are always present (to a greater or lesser extent).
In Fragile ice (chapter 10 of Remember me) a horse appears, but it is not any horse, it is a Lipizaner horse.
One of the advantages of making novels being a writer, more adult, is that throughout life one has already gathered much more knowledge than being younger ... and that knowledge is very useful at the time of writing an interesting story.
In case you do not know, I will tell you something about Lipizzaner horses, something that has always fascinated me, and it is the characteristic they have of being born with their black or very dark brown fur and as they grow they lose that dye, to become totally white (below I leave you some photos of some lipizzaner mares with their foals that have served as inspiration). Lipizzaner horses are also among the favorites when it comes to making exhibitions in horse riding shows for other characteristics of their race.
Fragile ice is a chapter that has a lot of action and I know that Many of you will love it (especially women, because Armony Heart, the protagonist of Remember me, looks like never, but I will not make a spoiler). However I will tell you a curiosity, for that chapter I wanted to add something that was a tribute to that beautiful breed of horses and their peculiar change of color over the years. I researched everything I could looking for some legend of its origins (because it seemed something that perfectly fit), but I could not find anything... so I decided to create it. And so it was: I made a story/legend about the origin of that beautiful breed of horses, which is a moving story and that is within Fragile ice perfectly imbricated, I know that many of the who have already read it, they have loved it and those who do not will be fascinated.
I do not want to extend more for now ... in another post I'll tell you more things.
