Traveling with Remember me... (part 2)

Today I want to tell you a little about the city of Kiel, in Germany.
Those who have read the first two chapters of Remember me will have already met it on my pages.
Why did I choose this city? Well, the answer lies in its maritime character. Many of you have already realized how important the sea is in Remember me, it is obvious and this is because I love everything naval and related to the "stories of the sea".
From the beginning, in Remember me, we find ourselves with the Lighthouse of the lost souls, where that terrible double shipwreck took place that I relate and that becomes one of the central axes of the whole plot. Marines, ships, lighthouses, sea voyages, etc... are common elements that will appear throughout my novel... and beyond... (those who can read between the lines, surely have understood this last comment) .
Kiel is simply perfect for my story; its distance to Copenhagen makes it ideal to locate it in the time necessary for the development of the action and it is a city in which the sea is present at all times, in fact, the naval festivals to which I allude are real.
As I always say, I like to keep my stories as plausible as possible and whenever I can, add curious facts or not so well known to people from different parts of the world.
Below I leave a video about Kiel where you can appreciate its maritime character and part of its views... and somehow, travel with their minds there when you read the first chapters of Remember me.
